As summer comes to an end and the beginning of the new season approaches, we'll be continuing our series on techniques in japanese prints with a look at
gauffrage (embossing), looking into the relationship between Kuniyoshi and Kunisada's warrior prints as well as examining in depth some of the exciting new prints in the next show
4 x 4: Giants of the Ukiyo-e Scene, opening on the 23rd September.
In the meantime, it's worth taking a look at our
